We Know You’re Curious – Here’s More

What is a Digital Twin in healthcare?

A Digital Twin is a 3D virtual model of a patient’s anatomy created from medical scans (CT, MRI, X-ray). It helps doctors to study, rehearse surgery, and explain procedures to patients and families.

What are custom implants?

Custom implants are specially designed medical implants made to match the exact size and shape of a patient’s bone or joint. These are planned digitally and manufactured using advanced additive manufacturing techniques.

Who benefits from these technologies?

Patients undergoing complex orthopedic surgeries, especially tumor or reconstruction cases, benefit the most. Surgeons use these tools to ensure higher safety and precision.

What is the advantage of using a custom implant over a standard one?

Custom implants are designed specifically for the patient’s anatomy, improving surgical precision, comfort, and long-term outcomes compared to standard, off-the-shelf implants.

Who benefits from these technologies?

Patients undergoing complex orthopedic surgeries, especially tumor or reconstruction cases, benefit the most. Surgeons use these tools to ensure higher safety and precision.

Are these implants and models reusable?

No. Custom implants are designed for a single patient only and are used once. Surgical models are created for preoperative planning and are not used again after the procedure.

What type of imaging is required to start the process?

Typically, CT scans, MRI scans, or PET-CT scans are required, depending on the condition. Your doctor will guide you on which imaging is necessary for your case.

How long does the process take?

The process begins with imaging. Once the scans are received, our team initiates detailed planning, followed by implant and jig designing in close coordination with our in-house doctors. After this, the implant is manufactured and delivered in sterile condition to the surgical theater. Since every case is unique, the exact timeline will be explained by our technical team based on the specific requirements of your surgery

What type of materials are used to manufacture custom implants?

Our custom implants are manufactured using medical-grade, clinically tested alloys that are internationally approved for surgical applications. Every implant is developed under strict medical and engineering protocols, with rigorous quality checks to ensure safety, biocompatibility, and long-term reliability.

What materials are used to create 3D anatomic models?

The 3D models used for surgical planning and simulation are created using high-quality biocompatible polymers. These materials are chosen to accurately replicate patient anatomy while ensuring they are safe for handling in clinical environments.
